Binary differentiation technology
The binary differentiation technology that yildun Internet backup makes use of, permits to back up remote copies by transfering incremental differentiations. That is to say, it will only transfer the modified bits of the files that have changed.
It's not about incremental copies of the data where changes happened, but about only transmitting those changes on a binary level.
A unique file that contains the incremental and the compressed differentiation is generated. With this file, our product is capable of restoring all the original data, behaving as a super compression system that reduces the size of the differential collection several orders of magnitude.
|
This way yildun is able to transmit less information than an incremental or differential traditional backup software and its main characteristics are:
Performance The incremental differentiation permits to transfer the online backup through the Internet, based on the similarities of the previous version. Furthermore, it only transmits the necessary bits that are needed to rebuild the new version of the information. These are the main advantages of this process:
When transmitting only the binary differences the bandwith usage is drastically reduced which enables the system to remote backup big files of hundreds of GBytes of real size information.
Save time using less bandwidth.
In the same storage space you'll be able to backup more files, which results in a cheaper system for the user.
Versatility. It supports all kind of files and permits to replicate data between different platforms (Windows, Linux, Solaris, Aix) from PC's, laptops or servers
Security. The file that contains the differences is automatically generated and is transparent for the user. This file is automatically compressed to be transfered and can only be accessed by the owner through an encrypted access password, which provides proccess with the maximum guarantees.

Encryption and secure transfers of the data
First level of encryption: SFTP protocol for the data transfer.
Second level of encryption: The owner of the data may submit a 128/256 bits owner password that ensures that nobody will access the remotely stored data.
The name of the files are transmitted into the server with a distinctive nomenclature that the system automatically provides, so that the original names or files are not known.
Automatic reaction to line loss: the transmission of the patch will continue from the interrupted moment.
Self-healing and redundancy, to be able to work in case of changes in the information caused by problems on the hardware or external agents.
